Why do people argue? Could it be to get their point across? Or to
express how they feel about a certain topic? Or to even raise an awareness on a
situation? These are all perfect reasons to fire up an argument. An argument is
simply an exchange between two or people with alike or opposite views. Some of
us argue in our everyday lives and we don't even realize it! These are called
informal arguments; When we go back and forth, talking each other’s heads off
on what we believe is right or wrong. But in fact, did you know an argument
doesn't necessarily have a right or wrong answer? An argument is not a spin, or
a quarrel, and nor is it a propaganda. An argument is not always a fight, false
information, or a made-up story form the press. This can only bring us to
formal arguments! When someone is stating facts, and giving logical reasoning
to make the audience agree with them, they are making a formal argument.
Although the audience may not agree with you 100% of the time, presenting
yourself and your argument in a formal matter is the best way to at least get
your audience to consider your argument. Some positive ways to argue is to
listen, engage in the topic, give facts and evidence, and understand others
point of view. On the other hand, there are also some negative ways as well
such as shouting, not cooperating, bashing the other person's opinion, or even
ignoring what the person has to say. Sometimes people even argue about things
that don't make sense like different desires and tastes. These are simply
opinions such as, strawberry ice cream is better than chocolate or curly hair
is better than straight. An argument must me debatable not a contradiction!

The Impact of Technology
blog post #1
The first video ,"social media revolution2017", was stating how technology impacts us today. There are so many times that I have walked in a room and almost everyone has some sort of technology in their hands. Either they are on their phones, playing on tablets, or even sitting behind a desktop. Almost everyone is connected with the social media such as Snapchat, Facebook, Pinterest, and more, but doesn't even know the truth and reality going on behind it. The video portrayed the different roles social media plays in our life that has gotten people so hooked to it such as making the job easier, being able to communicate quickly and amusing apps and games for people of all ages. The video also gives variety of trends people use involving the social media such as Siri, the internet, clothing stores, restaurants, and different apps that attract viewers even more frequent than usual. Some may see that social media is a problem and others may think otherwise. Every year there's new inventions being introduced and these companies are collaborating together to make it happen. Some may argue that social media doesn't change lives but as the video mentioned in the beginning , if you were to give social media a break, it would be difficult due to the fact that we use it everyday.

The next video, "Did you know 2028", was pretty interesting to me because it said and showed many things that were going to change in the future such as a huge population and more advanced technology. The argument I received from this video was that as the world is growing, and it is changing for the better or the worst. as the video stated, "50% of todays jobs will be replaced with artificial intelligence."THATS ROBOTS! That means half of the world will be jobless because businesses won't need the labor anymore. The video also mentioned that businesses wont be needing transportation due 3D printing machines. Some information in this video was valuable but i did not agree with some things because there has been many myths that people said were going to change by the year of 2017 that never happened. Scientist think they have all the facts but I believe only God knows whats going to happen next. Like honestly, do you think there is going to be driverless cars in 2028?

Finally, the last video was "did you know? 2 minutes can change your life". This video is arguing about the jobs we have today and how they affect our lives. most jobs require less moving and more typing and the human body was meant to do more than just sit around. It is bad for a human spin to have pressure upon it, and that is what we do when we are sitting. Bad posture is the number one reason why people end up with chronic back pain. This generation need more jobs that require being active and more energetic. sitting down leads to laziness, and laziness leads to poor health. For more info on how sitting down leads to poor health , click on this link I have provided --> https://youtu.be/uiKg6JfS658 . Overall, the three videos had a lot in common. They were all non verbal, had emotional appeal in it, and used youtube as their electronic.
